The Right Connection Introduces MIS Vehicle Computer Systems

January 2004 - Yorba Linda, CA - The Right Connection (TRC) has introduced Mobile Interactive Solution (MIS) systems - versatile full-featured mini-computers designed to integrate into the interior of any car, truck, minivan, or SUV for on-the-road entertainment, navigation, and more.

The MIS is the ultimate PC mobile media center which can offer access to the Internet, support of CD, CD-RW, DVD, and MP3 formats for music and video entertainment and enough storage capacity to store and play thousands of music tracks, DVDs or interactive videogames.

TRC offers four MIS computer models with hard-drive configurations of 40- or 60-GB with Celeron or Pentium processors. Four different- sized VGA video touchscreen monitors accommodate a variety of installation options.

Packaged MIS systems are available in twenty different combinations. Each MIS CPU runs on a Windows XP operating system and features a built-in DVD/CD-CDRW-CD-ROM drive. The user-friendly touchscreen interface makes it easy to access a plethora of third-party software, including Word and other business-related programs for the road warrior who needs to conduct business while traveling.

In addition to offering DVD movie and video game entertainment for passengers, the MIS system features four USB ports and one FireWire port for easy connection of add ons such as a TV tuner, subscription XM Satellite Radio receiver, MP3 player for uploading or downloading digital music, or a GPRS/GSM wireless modem to surf the Web or download email.

The system is designed to accept data for download onto the hard drive via the built-in DVD ROM drive, a Smart Media™ stick, or an optional Wi-Fi connection.
