PARADIGM REFERENCE’S STUDIO ESPRIT BRINGS A FRESH PERSPECTIVE TO ON-WALL SOUND<

Designed to complement a range of aesthetics, the advanced feature set of the Esprit offers multiple placement options without sacrificing sonic excellence.

ONTARIO, CANADA – November 20, 2007 – Paradigm Electronics Inc., an international leader in speaker design and manufacturing, introduces the Paradigm® Reference Studio Esprit L/R and Esprit C center channel, which provide unmatched flexibility and performance for on-wall applications.

Paradigm’s unrelenting commitment to innovation in speaker design via in-house testing and research is in full evidence with these new Esprit models. Its state-of-the-art Studio Series v.4 technology and proprietary feature set bring to life a remarkable hybrid on-wall speaker that can be mounted, tilted, placed on a stand or shelved to serve any aesthetic without sacrificing sonic excellence.

Paradigm’s proprietary ABEC Automatic Boundary Effects Compensation technology, the “brains” of each Esprit speaker, accommodates placement on a wall or the new high-performance GS-40 stand. When wall-mounted, the speaker’s correct on-wall (Boundary Effect) response is automatically engaged to ensure natural, uncolored delivery of music and highly intelligible dialogue. When mounted on the GS-40 stand, the speaker automatically tailors sound for correct “free-air” frequency response to maintain performance.

Each Esprit model comes with adjustable wall-mounting brackets that allow for angling and tilting of the speakers. A new design element called Mirror-Imaged Channel Matching enables listeners to angle the Esprit L/R models for better imaging and a heightened sense of spaciousness, or to tilt the Esprit C center channel model up or down for optimized clarity and dialogue intelligibility. A three-way crossover design contributes to exceptional on- and off-axis dispersion, extended dynamic range and seamless timbre matching between front and center speakers and matching surround/rear speakers.

Paradigm’s Reference Studio Esprit models come in a choice of wood veneers, including a cherry wood veneer inlay with silver cabinet and gray grille or a rosenut wood veneer inlay with dark gray cabinet and black grille. Paradigm also offers a lacquered piano black inlay with dark gray cabinet and black grille. The GS-40 stand for L/R models comes in silver or black and features an extruded aluminum post and weighted cast-aluminum base with decorative trim piece. Adjustable locking spikes provide stability at the base and can be replaced by rubber feet. The Esprit C comes with adjustable TV-Top/Shelf-mounting supports.

PARADIGM REFERENCE UNVEILS THREE NEW SIGNATURE SERIES SPEAKERS WITH ALL-NEW FORM FACTORS

A compact, lifestyle design combined with pure-beryllium tweeter domes and revamped woofer cones allow the Signature S1, C1, and ADP1 to sing with a voice reserved for much larger speakers.

Ontario, CA – September 18, 2007 – Paradigm Electronics Inc., an international leader in speaker design and manufacturing, introduces three additions to its award-winning Paradigm® Reference Signature Series. Working models of the Signature S1 bookshelf, C1 center channel and ADP1 surround speakers will be unveiled at CEDIA EXPO 2007. These models will showcase new, state-of-the-art P-Be™ pure-beryllium tweeter domes and CoIA™ Cobalt-infused pure-aluminum woofer cones. The original Reference Signature Series promised a listening experience “beyond the ordinary”; now, with impressive design upgrades and technology, the three new models deliver ultra high-end performance in a compact package.

“Our engineers continue to push the limits of loudspeaker performance, and the innovative technologies introduced in our new Signature models are proof of this,” says Jack Shafton, director of sales and marketing for Paradigm Electronics. “Our dealers and customers trust the Paradigm Reference Series to provide an unmatched audio experience. With the new Signature S1, C1 and ADP1, enthusiasts can now enjoy this same high level of performance from compact, lifestyle speakers that will complement any room décor.”

The Reference Signature Series’ G-PAL™ gold-anodized pure-aluminum tweeter domes have been upgraded in this new generation to pure beryllium. As the premium dome material available, beryllium was chosen for its exceptional mechanical properties. Lighter than aluminum and possessing unmatched rigidity, beryllium is the ideal tweeter dome material, lacking the inherent brittleness of other exotic materials.

A performance-enhancing composite of cobalt-infused, anodized pure aluminum brings increased stiffness and improved damping to the inherently lightweight character of the pure-aluminum cones. Mineral-filled polypropylene bass cones, a standard on all Paradigm Reference speakers, continue to exert their control over the lower frequencies.

Behind the cones, the support cast is also relatively unchanged: massive FEA*-optimized ceramic/ferrite magnets and sophisticated motor assemblies continue to provide extremely high output, remarkably low distortion and enviable power handling. Die-cast chassis and Paradigm’s trademark AVS™ cooling system work in tandem, cooling the drivers and dispersing heat. Lightweight, long-travel aluminum or copper voice coils with Apical™ formers were maintained for their track record of accuracy and reliability, even under the most challenging conditions.

Cabinet design and implementation also play a critical role in the performance of the Signature C1, S1 and ADP1 speakers. The interior of the cabinets reveals heavy-wall construction and extensive internal bracing for advanced resonance control. Constrained Layer Dampening (CLD) is used in conjunction with Permacote® Linacoustic® to completely subdue stray residual vibrational energy within the cabinets.

Models are available in a variety of high-polished Signature wood veneers or Piano Black.

PARADIGM’S PV SERIES – AESTHETICS AND PERFORMANCE MEET INDUSTRY-LEADING VALUE

Affordable High-Performance In-Wall/In-Ceiling Speakers Outperform the Competition.

ONTARIO, CANADA – May 12, 2006 – Paradigm Electronics is pleased to introduce the PV Series of in-wall/in-ceiling speakers, launching the line with four high-performance models: PV-50R, PV-60R, PV-150, and PV-160. Consistent with Paradigm’s mission to create high-quality speakers at affordable price points, the PV Series takes Performance and Value to the next level.

Since walls and ceilings are flexible by nature, typical in-wall/in-ceiling speakers are prone to uncontrolled resonances and standing waves that distort sound; resulting in bass that sounds bloated, lacking definition, clarity, neutrality, and imaging. The high-strength IRP™ injection-molded ribbed-polymer mounting system on the PV speakers increases wall rigidity by “sandwiching” and strengthening the area around the mounting hole. Unwanted resonances and standing waves are drastically reduced.

The PV-150 and PV-160 are 2-driver, 2-way models, and the PV-50R and PV-60R are 2-driver, 2-way models with coaxially mounted high frequency drivers. For bass/midrange drivers, the PV-50R and PV-150 have 5-1/2” mineral-filled polypropylene cones while the PV-60R and PV-160 have 6-1/2” mineral-filled polypropylene cones – delivering neutral and detailed midrange performance with smooth, extended bass response. For the high frequencies, the textured pure silk domes with ferro-fluid cooling promote clear, extended response, with superb transparency and spaciousness.

Affordable PV Series speakers are expertly designed and engineered to provide customers with an aesthetically unobtrusive and versatile way to enjoy both high-performance distributed audio and high-quality home theater sound. Whether you are a qualified installer or a do-it-yourselfer, Paradigm's PV Series speakers are flexible in application, and designed for quick and easy “drop-in” into existing walls and ceilings. PB Preinstallation brackets are also available for new home construction.

Measurements are as follows:

  • PV-50R – 7 3/4“in diameter with 2 3/4“needed for mounting depth.
  • PV-60R – 9” in diameter with 3” needed for mounting depth.
  • PV-150 – 10 3/8“ x 7 3/8” with 2 5/16” needed for mounting depth.
  • PV-160 – 9 15/16” x 6 15/16” with 2 9/16” needed for mounting depth.

The new PV Series speakers are offered in white, with paintable grilles to match any décor.
