EOS Maximizes iPod Music – Throughout the House and Beyond
World’s First Digital Wireless iPod-Based System Brings Great Sound Into Every Room, Even Outside
SAN DIEGO, CA – March 2008 –The iPod forever changed the way that we listen to our music and the iPod speaker dock forever changed the way that we listen to our iPods. Now, over 100 million iPods later, Eos is changing the way that people listen to their music…all over again.
Named for the Greek goddess of the dawn, Eos is the first multi-room digital wireless audio system made for iPod. Eos’ exclusive digital wireless technology can transmit CD quality, interference-free music -- up to 150 feet. What that means is that Eos can cover your whole home, upstairs, downstairs, outside to the pool or backyard or out to the garage -- through walls, floors and ceilings. Eos will link with up to 4 self-contained satellite speaker/receivers.
“Eos has changed the paradigm of listening to your iPod, and to music in general,” said Jeff O’Shea, Founder and Executive Vice President of IntelliTouch Communications. “Eos lets you put great music all over your house, without the hassle of wires, and you can enjoy terrific sound quality to suit your lifestyle, at a very affordable price.”
With summer coming up, Eos is the perfect companion for outdoor pool parties and barbeques. Because Eos sound can come from all over, you don’t have to blast the music and yell over it. Eos allows you to set the perfect volume level for any location or occasion. And when the party moves indoors, just simply unplug the speakers and move them in with you.
The Eos system consists of a base unit/transmitter and up to 4 self-contained remote speaker/receivers, for a total of up to 5 sound-point locations. For listening pleasure -- users can drop any iPod with a docking connector or iPhone onto the dock on the base unit, or plug any other audio source -- XM or Sirius satellite radio, San Disk or Zune MP3 players, computers, CD players, stereos, etc. into the auxiliary analog input on the back. Both the Eos base station/transmitter and wireless speaker/receivers feature full 2.1 Stereo with left + right channel audio as well as a ported subwoofer for rich, full sounding bass. Additionally, Eos incorporates SRS WOW! technology that improves the dynamic audio performance of the system.
Best of all, Eos’ amplified wireless speakers are ready to go right out of the box -- you just plug them in and they automatically link with the base station/transmitter. A special design feature allows the speakers to hang right on the wall outlet, so no mounting bracket, bookshelf or tabletop is required. Optionally, the integrated power supply can be removed and Eos speakers can be set on a countertop or a bookshelf. Each Eos speaker features an individual volume control, so the sound level can be adjusted at the point to get the perfect listening level.
Eos is perfect for homes where tearing up walls to install wired systems would be costly and inconvenient, as well as apartments, condos, and businesses where it would be out of the question. Setting up the EOS couldn’t be simpler: just take it out of the box, plug it in and it plays. Eos is flexible. Want to move a speaker to another room or outside to the pool? Just unplug it from the wall, and move it. As soon as the speaker/receiver is plugged in, it will link back to the base station immediately!
Eos is available as a Core System bundle, which includes the base unit and one additional speaker, for $249.99. Eos wireless stereo speakers are also available separately for $129.99.
