AUDI CANADA ANNOUNCES PRICING FOR 2007 A4 CABRIOLET STARTING AT $55,200 -THE ONLY CONVERTIBLE IN CANADA WITH QUATTRO ALL WHEEL DRIVE

Ajax, ON. -An enjoyable and sporty driving experience, superior technology, classic and exciting styling, and luxury that even satisfies the highest demands: Audi is presenting the new generation of a car that has become a classic - the A4 Cabriolet, starting at $55,200; and S4 Cabriolet starting at $83,100. With Audi's legendary quattro all wheel drive available on the A4 Cabriolet and standard on the S4 Cabriolet, Audi is the only manufacturer to offer all wheel drive in Canada in this segment.

The car's technology lives up to the promise made by its new styling: the A4 Cabriolet is being launched with two engines which are being offered in the Audi A4 Cabriolet for the very first time. FSI represents the most advanced state of the art technology for gasoline engines. The sporty yet comfortable dynamic suspension converts the power delivered by these units into sheer driving pleasure - on every bend, on every mile of the journey.

Innovative and highly sophisticated technologies are an integral part of practically all vehicle areas and components: the adaptive Bi-Xenon headlights are proof of this. There is also an extremely high level of standard equipment with desirable features like power front seats, leather seating surfaces, fog lamps, and, perfect for enjoying the Cabriolet in all of Canada's four seasons, heated front seats, heated side mirrors and heated windshield washer nozzles.

The quality of materials and workmanship in the interior are of a standard that need not fear comparison with the luxury class. The architecture of the driver's area, especially the cockpit - a perfect synthesis of ergonomics, function and design - is pioneering.

The design

Self-assured in appearance: the striking single-frame grille and newly styled clear-glass headlights with their curving, emotional line give the new Audi A4 Cabriolet a completely new face. The trapezoidal shape of the single-frame grille is continued in the more prominent contours of the engine hood.

The front end shows visible evidence of the new generation of the S4 Cabriolet. Like the S4 sedan, the Cabriolet features the S specific grid pattern in the single-frame grille. The bumpers with large air inlets, the aluminium casings for the exterior mirrors, the redesigned rear lights, the V8 badges on the front fenders, and the four oval tailpipes are the distinguishing visual features of the S4 Cabriolet.

The modern and innovatively designed interior fits in with the progressive look of the car's exterior styling. The new-generation steering wheels provide an entirely new visual touch inside the A4/S4 Cabriolet. Their characteristic element is the airbag cover with its single-frame design. Door sill trims with aluminum inserts and numerous aluminum inlays are a standard feature of all new A4 and S4 Cabriolet versions.

Almost all convertibles look good with the top down, but only a few are equally as attractive with the top up. The Audi A4/S4 Cabriolet cuts an extremely fine figure both open and closed. Thanks to its good thermal insulation and glass rear window, the Audi A4/S4 Cabriolet can also be used without restriction in the winter.

As an option Audi also offers an acoustic roof, which goes even further in the direction of insulation. By using new fabrics with a greater material density, the noise level inside the cabin is reduced further, virtually matching that of the A4 sedan, even at highway speeds. This new acoustic top is standard equipment on the S4 Cabriolet.

Engines and transmissions

Audi is now also offering two highly modern engines with FSI gasoline direct injection for the new A4 Cabriolet: the 3.2 FSI V6 and the two-liter four-cylinder 2.0 TFSI. These combine high performance with a spontaneous response to every movement of the accelerator pedal and a peak-torque range at a high level.

The 3.2 FSI V6 produces 255 hp at 6500 rpm, and 243 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3250 rpm. About 90 percent of the engines peak torque is available from 1900-5900 rpm, allowing for strong acceleration in any gear, at any speed.

The 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder was the first engine to combine turbocharging and direct gasoline injection when it was initially launched. Producing 200 hp from 5100-6000 rpm, and 207 ft.-lbs. of torque between 1800-5000 rpm, the 2.0 TFSI is a marvel of power and efficiency.

The Audi S4 Cabriolet is propelled by a 340 hp eight-cylinder engine. Its maximum power output is reached at 7,000 rpm. The 4.2-litre engine delivers a hefty 302 ft. lbs. of torque at 3,500 rpm. Thanks to such a superior power flow from the substantial displacement, this naturally aspirated engine acquires an air of supreme confidence.

All three engines have been named to the Ward's 10 Best Engines list in the last two years, a further testament to their advanced design and abilities.

These three engines deliver their power to the road either via the front wheels (2.0 TFSI only), or by means of quattro permanent all-wheel drive. Customers can choose from a continuously variable Multitronic transmission (2.0 TFSI FrontTrak), a six-speed manual with a 40:60 front to rear torque split (S4), and a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission (standard 2.0TFSI quattro and 3.2, option on S4).

The chassis

The set-up of the dynamic suspension system, with four-link front and self-tracking trapezoidal-link rear suspension, has been completely modified and numerous new components added. Audi's chassis engineers have made extensive changes in the area of elastokinematics, and to the spring and shock absorber settings.

The steering has been completely modified to give the driver greater precision, but also better feedback from the road when cruising. In connection with this, the engineers adopted several mountings and the dimensions of the front and rear shock absorbers from the Audi A6; the rear trapezoidal links and the front track rods originate from the S4 sedan.

These modifications add up to a significantly higher level of agility and precise handling, combined with first-class ride comfort - all qualities which benefit drivers of the Audi A4 Cabriolet. This also applies to the brakes, the dimension and consequently performance of which have been adapted to suit the potential of the new engines.

Essentially, everything that makes the new A4 Cabriolet stop, turn, and go, has been revised to improve the sporting dynamics of the vehicle.

Equipment and trim

The Audi A4/S4 Cabriolets offer a standard equipment list that sets a benchmark in the midsize class. Every new A4 Cabriolet, for example, comes with a power retractable roof and dual-zone automatic climate control, ten-speaker audio system with in-dash six-disc CD changer with MP3 compatibility, power one-touch windows, driver information display, cruise control, large ski sack, high-pressure headlight washer system, and numerous other features you'd expect to find in a luxury convertible.

All A4 Cabriolet models can be equipped with an optional S line package for $4,350, which consists of five-spoke 18" alloy wheels designed by quattro GmbH with performance or all-season tires, sport suspension, S line front and rear bumpers, and brushed aluminum interior trim.

Both the A4 and S4 Cabriolets can be equipped with an Audio package with a Bose premium sound system for a cost of $920, and a $2,250 Convienence package including Homelink, auto-dimming exterior and interior mirrors, light/rain sensor for automatic wipers and headlights, Bi-Xenon headlights (standard on S4) with adaptive light technology, driver side memory for seat and mirrors, and acoustic convertible top (on 3.2 models only, standard on S4).

Other stand alone options consist of Audi Navigation Plus for $2,900 ($2,750 on the S4 Cabriolet), and Bluetooth phone preparation for $650.

Safety is standard, not optional

The Audi A4/S4 Cabriolet's A-pillars are reinforced very effectively by means of high-strength tubes and their optimized structure - an indispensable source of extra safety if the car should roll over.

Sills with an optimized thickness and cross-section boost the occupant cell's strength and occupant protection. High-strength tubes are also used in the seat structure, as a means of protecting the occupants in the event of a lateral collision.

The doors in particular have to be designed with safety in mind. In conjunction with structural reinforcements in the sills and a strengthening cross-members below the rear seat, special impact absorbing beams in the doors help ensure a high standard of safety. At the back of the car, the double rear panel improves the rigidity of the body.

The comprehensive safety package contains seat belts with belt-force limiter and belt tensioner for all passengers, together with full-size front and side airbags. The side airbags integrated into the front seats are designed to protect the head and thorax.

If the car should roll over, a roll-over protection system in the double rear bulkhead adds to the occupants' safety. In this case, two protective bars, controlled by sensors, are triggered behind the rear passengers within milliseconds. Together with the extremely rigid windscreen frame, they help to preserve survival space for all occupants if the car turns over.

The standard electronic stabilization program ESP 8.0 with hydraulic brake assist provides for maximum active safety.

All seats are equipped with three-point inertia-reel belts (the front belts have belt-force limiters and belt tensioners, plus a seat belt reminder for the driver) and head restraints. The safety equipment specification also includes a driver's airbag activated in two stages and side airbags.

Warranty

The 2007 Audi A4 and S4 Cabriolets come with an outstanding combination of warranties and protection. This top-rated package includes:
. Four-year/80,000-kilometer new vehicle limited warranty
. 12-year limited warranty against corrosion perforation
. 24-hour Roadside Assistance for four years

AUDI LAUNCHES A WEB-BASED CLUB RS 6

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Audi is proving that waiting for a car can be an interesting experience all on its own. Corresponding with the launch of the RS 6, Audi has designed an interactive microsite where soon-to-be-owners can join an exclusive web-based community called the Club RS 6.

This new community offers riveting and in-depth experience of the most powerful and the fastest model Audi has yet produced.

" Our customers and their new Audi RS 6s may be an ocean apart, but that doesn't mean their love affair with this car can't start now," said Jim McGough, Audi E-Business team leader. "In the coming weeks, as their cars embark on the journey across the Atlantic, the Club RS 6 will serve our customers as their private, in-depth RS 6 guide."

Every owner of an RS 6 will receive a welcome kit (including a letter from Len Hunt, vice president, Audi of America; an RS 6-embossed leather portfolio; glossy photos; and technical vehicle specifications) along with an invitation to join and a password to a very personalized and customized Club RS 6. After typing an assigned username and password, the website instantly recognizes the owner and provides personalized information on the ordered car, like the exterior and interior colors, options, a VIN number, dealer contact, etc.

Designed by Enlighten, Audi's web design partner based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Club RS 6 microsite consists of several areas to obtain detailed information - "Journey of Your RS 6," "quattro GmbH," "RS 6 Highlights," "Specifications," and "RS 6 Accessories."

By clicking on Journey of Your RS 6 link, the customers can view the status of their vehicle from the start of its production in Neckarsulm, Germany, through to its arrival in Audi's U.S. port. By selecting a button from a horizontal calendar, customers can read about the various stages of their RS 6 production. To help the owners track their vehicle progress, Milestone
buttons are highlighted, signaling that the customer's RS 6 has passed from one milestone to another. An example of that would be the car leaving the paint shop or quality checkpoint. The RS 6 owner is also proactively notified via e-mail every time their car passes a milestone. The calendar also displays dates for the race series in which Audi participates, like the American Le Mans Series and Speed Channel World Challenge GT series (where the RS6 is raced), as well as other significant moments in Audi's racing history. This interactive feature allows users to select a date and view more information.

The quattro GmbH page features a brief animation about the history of Audi's high-performance subsidiary, quattro GmbH, the company responsible for tuning
the RS 6. Also, visitors can listen to audio clips of exclusive interviews with six key RS 6 team members, including Helmut Stettner, head of RS 6 production; Michael Ganz, lead engine developer; and Uwe Gsaenger, who played the central role in developing the RS 6's new suspension system. A new interview will be posted on the site every six weeks.

When visiting the RS 6 Highlights section, owners can access details about the RS 6 accompanied by never-seen-before pictures. Photography includes beauty shots as well as detailed images of the engine and other technical components.

Users can download detailed RS 6 technical specification sheets by clicking on the specifications link. They can also learn what additional accessories and merchandise are available on the RS 6 by visiting the RS 6 Accessories page. To support their bragging rights of owning such a unique automobile, the site equips the RS 6 owners with e-postcards and downloads to send their friends, leaving them awestruck.

The owners can also send others (non-owners) a link to a consumer version of the RS 6 microsite (that is not password protected) where they can learn about the features of the car
through detailed photos and technical specifications. The non-owner site will be available about six weeks after the exclusive customer site is launched.

Available in July for $82,700, the RS 6 is the newest high-performance sedan from Audi. Just over a thousand units will be sold in the North American market.

This ultra high performer features an extraordinary 450 horsepower at 6,500 revolutions per minute, making it a world-class sedan with the heart of a sports car. With a bi-turbo, 4.2-liter V8 engine, the Audi RS 6 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds, and has an electronically governed top speed of 155 mph. Twin turbochargers, twin pressure-loss optimized intercoolers and five valves per cylinder help develop 415 lb.-ft. of peak torque across a broad range of 1,950 to 5,600 rpm.
